You can recreate her idea here. You'll need:
A niceish basket
Gourmet salt of some kind
Your favorite fancy loaf of bread, pretty is a plus.
A bottle of wine (if you are a teetotaler like me, you can substitute Welchs Sparkling Grape or choose a great cooking wine)
These tags: (or make your own!) download them here
You can also get fancy and include other niceties, like some cool tea towels or other gourmet treats. Here's one I gave to one of my other sisters (I have four) when she recently bought a new house.
Cheryl Griffin and her girls did that for me when I moved into one of my apartments! It was so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI know this is an older post, but I just came across it, and I love it. With a similar idea in mind, I made up a basket for the wedding of an acquaintance. They were an older couple, with no need for the sort of things that a young couple might need to start a house. I put together some fresh bread, wine, fancy little condiments (olive oil, jam, mustard), a pair of glasses, some cloth napkins, and some other bits I can't remember anymore, plus some herb seeds, all packaged in a giant pot with a note about growing their love. The next time I put together such a gift, I'll have to remember your tags! Thanks so much for sharing.
