Why do other people beget children who smile winningly on cue for multiple pictures and I got these people? With Christmas card season upon us, here is a handy article on how best to snap some good ones of your cuties.
Too cute! I am starting to feel your pain. Chloe will still smile on cue, but Colby...well I blame it on being 2. He used to smile for pictures better than any kid. Now it is like pulling teeth. Good luck on getting a shot for cards!
These are so fun! They have a vintage feel to them for some reason. Maybe the wood or slightly faded color, or the fact you can't see their clothes. Whatever it is I like it! :)
I don't understand how those people do it. I have a friend who gets only THE MOST PERFECT photos of her boys and girl, I am so envious because I can never get my boy to smile naturally and he always hears the camera before I can sneak up on him to take a "natural" shot. Haha.
Your two look adorable, anyway. Don't worry about getting lots of strange photos, perhaps kids grow out of this phase? I hope? :P
I have friends who have children like that too. All they have to do is see a camera and they start to vogue and grin. All my kids have to do is see a camera and they run. Maybe I should introduce the 'Candy for a smile' incentive program.
HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Oh my word. These are HILARIOUS. My day has just been made. Though I must apologize, because me and Jamie were the ones who taught them the art of silly picture faces... but I'm sure if you send any one of these out as a christmas card it would be more of a hit than a smiley one. ha
there was serious unhappiness when I tried to take Barbie, so I figured if these are award winning photos, I'd somehow figure out how to touch her head out of them, a pretty tall order considering my abysmal photoshop skillz.

Getting both of my kids to look at the camera and smile is one of my goals in life. Is it really that hard? I think yours turned out great.
