And here's the ornament for my 9 yr old Thing 2. See the previous post for a closeup of Thing 1's. I'm so excited about these! I love to make them. They are 3.5 inches tall and can stand on their own with the help of their royal robe. They each seem to have their own personality and sky's the limit on hair color. Which is fun! (They are made using my Wee Princess Pea pattern.)
*crickets*
Love these! And I used to put a white half slip on my head for long hair, put Blondie on the record player, set it to the fast setting, and pretend I was a young Debbie Harry singing 'Heart of Glass'.
ReplyDeleteHey, Odd Dotty! Haha! You and I would have had a great time together. I LOVED Heart of Glass. My record player had lots of Motown 45s to play.
DeleteHAHAHA I laughed out loud at the crickets! :o)
ReplyDeleteThose ornaments are adorable!!!
hey, Chris, glad I could share a laugh. :-) Thanks.
DeleteEvery other ornament I've seen made with wooden beads has looked "clunky"-- these are the absolute antithesis of "clunky!" Such beautiful, GRACEFUL princesses! (You are AMAZING!, Larissa!!!)
ReplyDeleteOh, Jenni, wow, thanks so much. That's a very sweet thing to say! They are fun to make, and yes, very girly. :-)
DeleteI love the pair of em! I'm trying to get a post up today with the ornaments I made for this year. I think I can I think I can . . .
ReplyDeleteHey, Skooks, thanks. And jes -- you can DO eet!
Deletewow Ris - I am constantly amazed at your creative talent - these are ADORABLE - rock on Sis..........:-)
ReplyDeleteand by the way - I am STILL obsessed with long hair - and do you remember how I would bobby pin long ringlets of xmas ribbons (made curly by running the scissors over them - whoosh) to my head and run around pretending I had long hair? Yup.
Wow, I wish I had thought of the whole xmas ribbons thing. So much more hair-like than a tshirt. Pure genius, Lo.
